Hot and Cold

A week ago the weather turned really warm. So warm in fact that Kenosha began to 'blow coat'. His hair is coming out in clumps. Human Mommy brushes and brushes and he still has hair coming out. The backyard looks like someone exploded! Human Mommy gave us all a bath to help loosen the old hair (Kenosha really doesn't like a bath - I don't mind 'cause it makes me feel SO GOOD afterwards!)


With the warm weather came the frogs, toads, and insects. These creatures are all new to Boreas and he had the best time chasing the flies and moths and crawly bugs. But the toads had him fascinated!


Human Mommy has some herbs planted in a little bed by the greenhouse and the toads came out of there during the couple of warm nights that we had. [The toads hide in the leaf mulch in the bed to keep warm during the cold weather.] Boreas thought they were the funniest looking creatures he had ever seen. Elvira
